"As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another" Proverbs 27:17

There are many organizations in Lakewood and our surrounding communities that are dedicated to helping, serving, loving and giving to the various causes of social injustices that plague our streets, neighborhoods, and communities.  But as Proverbs 27:17 indicates it is much more effective for us all to work cooperatively side by side in trying to meet the needs of those that are hurting and falling through the "cracks" of society.  Whether the need is related to hunger, health care, domestic violence, advocacy, deterence for gang activity, spiritual and emotional needs; and the list could go on, there are a host of resources here in Lakewood and Ocean County that stand ready to serve and guide a person to hope, health and healing.
